Mumbai — Famous Indian actress Deepika Kakar has shared a deeply personal and challenging chapter of her life, revealing that she was diagnosed with liver cancer and subsequently underwent surgery to remove 22% of her liver as part of the treatment.
According to Indian media reports, the 39-year-old actress also had an 11-centimetre tumour removed from her liver during the surgical procedure. Deepika Kakar recently spoke in detail about the experience surrounding her cancer diagnosis, the treatment process, and the emotional journey endured by her and her family.
Cancer Status and Follow-up:
Deepika Kakar expressed relief that the cancer was confined only to the tumour and had fortunately not spread to other parts of her body. However, she confirmed that she would be undergoing another FAPI scan in November to ascertain the complete absence of cancer in her system.
