Firefighters from the Fort Worth Fire Department are investigating the death of an individual whose body was found in Lake Como on Monday.
The department reported that dive teams were dispatched to recover the body, which was spotted in the lake around 1:30 p.m. The body was successfully retrieved and the individual was confirmed deceased.
Details about the person, such as their age or the circumstances leading to their presence in the lake, remain unknown. The cause of death is still under investigation.
Lake Como is located adjacent to Lake Como Park on the west side of the city, near Merrick Street and Interstate 30.
