Pakistan’s Provincial Government in Balochistan, led by Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri, has vowed that the province will not negotiate with terrorist elements in the face of recent attacks. The Chief Minister paid a visit to the site of the recent bombing in Quetta and met with security forces and police personnel to assess the security situation.
In response to the terrorist attacks, the Chief Minister stated that the government will not show any mercy to enemy elements. He praised the swift and effective response of the police and CTU teams in dealing with the situation and declared that Pakistan will not tolerate any form of terrorism.
The Chief Minister also emphasized that over the past 12 months, Balochistan has eliminated over 700 terrorist elements, and the provincial government remains committed to eradicating terrorism from the region. He attributed the increase in terrorist incidents to the ” accommodative policy” of the government in dealing with such situations.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mahmood Khan, has condemned the terrorist attacks in Balochistan and announced that he will take the issues of the province to the Prime Minister. Governor of Sindh, Kamran Tessori, has stated that the tax collection in Karachi is increasing, but only 5% of the collected tax is being utilized in the city.
Federal Minister for Information, Fawad Chaudhry, has stated that the recent terrorist attack in Balochistan was a desperate attempt by Fidayeen-e-Islam to avenge their defeat in the war. He further added that India is facing severe difficulties after its defeat in the war.
The Chairman of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, has condemned the use of women and children by terrorist elements in their attacks. He also accused the government of Karachi of deliberately allowing the city to descend into chaos.
The Minister of State for Interior, Shehryar Afridi, has stated that Indian terrorists are being trained on the other side of the Afghan border and are carrying out attacks in Pakistan.
