Microsoft’s CEO Bill Gates celebrated his granddaughter Leila’s second birthday with a heartfelt post.
He took to his Instagram account and shared an emotional picture of himself playing with his granddaughter and a large soft toy.
Along with the picture, Gates wrote a loving message: “Happy 2nd birthday, Leila! You’re growing up so fast. Every moment with you is pure joy, and I can’t wait for all the adventures ahead. (P.S. Thanks for making me a grandpa.)”
Jennifer Gates, the eldest daughter of Bill and Melinda French Gates, and her husband Nayel Nassar welcomed their daughter two years ago on March 5.
They announced her birth on Instagram, sharing a picture of themselves holding their newborn with the caption: “Sending love from our healthy little family.”
Besides Jennifer, Bill and Melinda have two other children named Rory and Phoebe.
Recently, Bill Gates reflected on his divorce from Melinda after 27 years of marriage.
He described it as the biggest regret of his life. In an interview, he admitted that while he feels happier now, the divorce was a very difficult time for both of them and lasted for nearly two years.
He specifically mentioned an affair with a Microsoft employee, taking responsibility for his actions without going into details.
Another significant reason for their separation was Bill’s past association with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender.
