News:
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced in Islamabad that his party is now in a position to form and manage the government in Kashmir, signaling a significant political shift.
Speaking to the media, Bilawal Bhutto stated that a “political conspiracy” had intentionally created a vacuum in Kashmir. He asserted that the PPP is ready to fill this void. He described the remaining term of the current assembly as a “test” for his party, underlining that their primary effort will be to implement the demands of the Kashmiri people.
Regarding the process for an in-house change, he clarified that the name of the new Leader of the House would be revealed at the time the no-confidence motion is formally submitted.
Thanking his parliamentary colleagues and newly joined members, Bhutto Zardari made a direct promise to the people of Kashmir. “I promise the Kashmiris that I will not disappoint them,” he said. “The issues Kashmiris face have a political solution, and the PPP’s politics has always been focused on resolving these issues.”
He highlighted his party’s deep-rooted connection to the cause, noting that “three generations” of his family have fought for the Kashmiris’ case around the world. He expressed pride in his own record as Foreign Minister, stating he advanced the Kashmiris’ struggle on the global stage.
Reflecting on the previous election, he noted that PPP candidates faced difficult circumstances under the PTI government and that their “win was turned into a defeat.” Despite this, he added, the PPP never backed down and continued to represent the people at every opportunity.
