On August 20, the same day Lopez officially filed for divorce after two years of marriage, Affleck was seen returning to Los Angeles with Garner after taking their daughter, Violet, to college at Yale University.
According to a report by People Magazine, the Batman actor was with Garner just hours before learning of the divorce filing. The two, who also share daughter Seraphina and son Samuel, were spotted leaving the airport together.
Amid his marital troubles with Lopez, Affleck has reportedly been leaning on Garner for support. The Alias star has been helping him navigate his issues, even as reports suggest she might be reaching her limit, feeling secondary to Lopez during her marriage to Affleck.
While it’s unclear if Affleck regrets leaving Garner, he seems committed to maintaining a strong bond with her. Their children are reportedly ready to move on from the split and are supportive of their father’s decision to end his marriage to Lopez.
