Bangladesh has secured the three-match T20 International series against the Netherlands with a 2-0 win after the third and final match in Sylhet was called off due to rain.
The hosts were at 164 for four in 18.2 overs when rain interrupted play for the second and final time. Captain Litton Das was the standout performer, scoring a 73-ball 46, his second half-century of the series.
With preparations for the T20 Asia Cup underway—scheduled to start on September 9 in the United Arab Emirates—Bangladesh made five changes to their team after already clinching the series in the second match.
The innings experienced two interruptions: an 11-minute delay from a floodlight failure, followed by a 35-minute stoppage caused by rain.
Litton reached his fifty in 27 balls, hitting a six over deep mid-wicket off left-arm spinner Daniel Doram. He was later dismissed by medium-pacer Kyle Klein, who also removed Shamim Hossain for 21 in the same over. This came after Tim Pringle had earlier claimed the wicket of Towhid Hridoy for nine.
Nurul Hasan, who remained unbeaten on 22, and Jaker Ali, who was 20 not out, had added 42 runs for the fifth wicket before the rain brought the match to a halt. Match officials eventually called off the game after a lengthy delay.
Litton Das was named player of the series for his total of 145 runs.
