The Bangladesh cricket team has been officially cleared to tour Pakistan, with the government granting its formal approval to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to send the squad.
Following the recent increase in tensions between Pakistan and India, the BCB had sought governmental permission before confirming the tour. The Pakistan-Bangladesh series will proceed according to its initially planned schedule. The series is set to commence on May 27th and will consist of five T20 international matches.
All matches are scheduled to take place in Faisalabad and Lahore.
Earlier reports had indicated that the first T20I between Pakistan and Bangladesh would be played in Faisalabad on May 25th.
According to sources within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has agreed to send its team to Pakistan.
There are no security concerns in Pakistan, and the series will be held across both of the designated venues.
Recently, Bangladeshi cricketer Rishad Hossain conveyed concerns to local media regarding the prevailing tensions between Pakistan and India.
Despite these concerns, the Bangladeshi team is expected to participate in a five-match T20I series in Faisalabad and Lahore.
