In response to potential security threats, the Islamabad district administration has imposed a two-month ban on flying drones and camcopters in the federal capital under Section 144.
According to the official notification, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has been prohibited due to the risks they could pose to sensitive installations and public safety. The ban, however, does not apply to law enforcement agencies and the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration.
The District Magistrate stated that the measure was taken as an immediate step to maintain law and order, and any violations will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
