Peshawar Zalmi has confirmed that Babar Azam will participate in an exhibition match aimed at raising funds for flood victims.
According to details, the match is scheduled to take place in Peshawar on August 30, featuring Peshawar Zalmi against a Legends XI. All proceeds from the game will be used to support the rehabilitation of those affected by the floods.
Earlier on Tuesday, Peshawar Zalmi’s owner, Javed Afridi, had announced the exhibition match, which is set to be held at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar on August 30.
Afridi confirmed the development, stating that 100% of the proceeds from the event would be directed towards relief and rehabilitation efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“Every ticket counts. One hundred percent of proceeds will directly support flood relief and rehabilitation across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” Afridi wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
He described the exhibition fixture as “larger than cricket itself” and encouraged the public to attend, adding: “We stand with every flood-affected family of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This is our time to reunite and rebuild together.”
