KAMPALA: Ugandan Olympic runner Rebecca Cheptegei, who died after allegedly being doused in petrol and set alight by her former partner, was buried Saturday with full military honours at her ancestral place in Uganda’s northeast. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Sunday nominated umpire Saleema Imtiaz for the ICC International Panel of Development Umpires, enabling her to officiate women’s bilateral international matches and ICC women’s events. WASHINGTON: The Biden administration has locked in steep tariff hikes on Chinese imports, including a 100 per cent duty on electric vehicles, to boost protections for strategic industries from China’s state-driven industrial practices.
