GWADAR: As many as 25 passengers including 14 security personnel travelling in a coach were injured on Monday when the coach overturned at Buzi Top area of Coastal Highway. Officials said that a passenger coach also carrying personnel of Frontier Corps from Turbat to Karachi overturned at Buzi Top area of the Coastal Highway as the driver lost control due to brake failure. RAWALPINDI: As many as 48 dengue patients were reported in three government-run hospitals in the garrison city on Monday. Out of these, 30 were from Rawalpindi city and cantonment areas, while the remaining patients were from Islamabad and adjoining areas. According to data collected from Holy Family Hospital, Benazir Bhutto Hospital and District Headquarters Hospital, there are currently 159 dengue patients admitted across these hospitals, with 35 patients having been discharged after treatment. ISLAMABAD: The National Institute of Health (NIH) on Tuesday received technical report of the sixth Monkeypox case detected in Pakistan. According to sources the report compiled by Border Health Services stated that 44-year-old Farooq, a resident of Punjab’s Gujrat, reached Pakistan from Riyadh on September 14. The patient was isolated over suspected signs of monkeypox after screening. After the test result, monkeypox virus was confirmed in the man, while testing of his family was underway, the sources within NIH said.
