A new program offered at the Grapevine Public Library is set to help kids turn the page on homework problems. The library has kicked off a dedicated program that offers complimentary help with homework for elementary-aged children, according to the organization. Library staff members, volunteer educators and high school honor students will assist with homework on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m. (excluding the week of spring break). Researchers confirmed two cases of BA.2, a sub-lineage of the omicron variant, through sequencing at the University of Texas Southwestern on Thursday. A 28-year-old Dallas man was arrested and charged with fatally shooting a 25-year-old man Sunday morning in central Oak Cliff, police said. Jordy Estrada was booked in the Dallas County jail Sunday afternoon on charges of murder in connection with the slaying of Octavio Velasquez.
