Sunny and warmer weekend weather has been delightful, but there is a downside to this nice weather. Drought conditions continue to intensify due to our lack of rainfall. Fortunately, there will be two opportunities for some rain next week on Monday and Wednesday. Any rain for DFW on Monday will be light, generally less than a tenth of an inch, with heavier rain expected farther south. A motorcyclist died after he was thrown from his bike in a four-vehicle crash Friday night in Arlington, police said. The crash occurred about 6 p.m. at Arkansas Lane and Center Street. According to police, the motorcyclist was traveling west on Arkansas through the intersection when he collided with a car turning left onto Center Street. The impact caused the car and the motorcycle to hit two more vehicles stopped at the traffic light. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and pronounced dead by first responders, police said. Fort Worth police are asking for the public’s help locating a 59-year-old woman last seen Saturday evening using a wheelchair. Lisa Cathrine Ashley was last seen about 6:40 p.m. in the 1900 block of Everman Parkway after leaving her home near the 1800 block of Christopher Drive, less than half a mile away. She may be lost and in danger, police said. Ashley is described as a Black woman who is 4-8 and about 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A 29-year-old has been charged with aggravated assault after he fired shots toward an Uber Eats driver early Saturday morning, deputies say. According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, an Uber Eats driver was delivering food along Yellow Pine Drive around 2 a.m. when Omar Sanchez fired multiple shots. Police say, the driver pulled into a yard in attempt to retreat as more shots were fired in his direction. He was then able to drive to a nearby street and call for help. HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — All main lanes of I-45 Gulf Freeway southbound at Dixie Farm Road have reopened after a cement truck overturned in southeast Houston. Houston TranStar verified the crash involving an 10-wheeler at 10:31 a.m. on the southbound IH-45 Gulf Freeway at Dixie Farm Road. It’s not immediately known what led to the incident. HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A man in a ‘wobbly wheel’ scam is still on the run after targeting another man in October of 2021 at a Kroger parking lot on FM 1960, according to court documents. Then on Thursday, Harris County Precinct 4 deputies responded to another Kroger in the 11700 block of Idlewood Drive in reference to the same incident.
