One man was killed and a woman was wounded during a shooting late Friday in West Dallas, police said. Officers were called about 11:40 p.m. to the 3400 block of North Winnetka Avenue, near Benito Juárez Park, where a shooting had been reported. A 26-year-old man at that location told officers that he had shot Gavino Lorta, 25. Authorities are looking for a man who went missing in South Dallas on Friday. La’darrion Blanton, 19, was last seen on foot about 6:30 p.m. Friday in the 2800 block of Thomas Tolbert Avenue, near Malcolm X Boulevard and Al Lipscomb Way.
