HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A baby died after a tow truck slammed into a car in northwest Harris County Sunday morning, according to deputies. Harris County deputies responded to the crash at about 10:15 a.m. in the 6600 block of Cunningham near West Little York Road. A Nissan sedan was at a stop light facing eastbound on West Little York Road when the tow truck collided into the Nissan, deputies said. China’s medical products regulator said on Saturday it has given conditional approval for Pfizer’s COVID-19 drug Paxlovid, making it the first oral pill specifically developed to treat the disease cleared in the country. The National Medical Products Administration said Paxlovid is approved to treat adults who have mild to moderate COVID-19 and high risk of progressing to a severe condition. Apple is raising the pay of many US retail employees effective this month, Bloomberg News reported on Friday. The hikes range from 2% to 10% depending on store location and role, and will go to sales staff, including Genius Bar technical staff and some senior hourly workers, the report said.
