A Fort Worth police officer is on restrictive duty after the department received a complaint alleging he destroyed evidence, police said. Fort Worth police said they received a complaint in January alleging that Sgt. Rodsdricke Martin, 46, destroyed evidence while working in an off-duty capacity. The department said administrative and criminal investigations were initiated and Martin was placed on restricted duty and “stripped of all police powers” pending the outcomes. Police are investigating a large cockfighting operation in the Rylie area of Dallas, where more than 100 chickens were seized by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Texas over the weekend. A 911 caller reported that about 200 people were betting on fighting roosters in the 11700 block of Garden Grove Drive, just southwest of Interstate 20 and Seagoville Road, police said.
