A 22-year-old man was sentenced to 45 years in prison for killing a Carter High School football player and prom king hours after his graduation. A Dallas County jury convicted Jeremiah Robinson of murder last week for the 2017 drive-by shooting that killed Ledajrick “LD” Rajaeu Cox. Robinson immediately requested a new trial. McKinney is opening its latest fire station Wednesday that will serve the growing community of Craig Ranch. Fire Station 11 will go into service at 6:30 a.m. Feb. 16. Lowland western gorillas Asha, B’Wenzi, Marcus, Shana and Shanta tested positive for the virus Feb. 7 from samples that were taken Feb. 1.
