RAWALPINDI: On the direction of the chief minister, police and district administration swung into action and launched a massive crackdown against encroachments in Bara Bazaar, Namak Mandi, Sabzi Mandi and adjoining areas and cleared the roads for traffic and pedestrians. GILGIT: The Pakistan Customs foiled an attempt to smuggle over 15,465 mobile phones, mostly Android, worth Rs446 million from China to Pakistan through the Khunjerab Pass border crossing. QUETTA: An investigation into last month’s fire at Post-Graduate Degree Science College Quetta has concluded that a short circuit was responsible for the blaze.
