SAO PAULO: An airplane carrying 58 passengers and four crew crashed on Friday in Brazil’s Sao Paulo state, killing everyone on board, local officials said. The aircraft, a French-made ATR 72-500 operated by the airline Voepass, was travelling from Cascavel in southern Parana state to Sao Paulo’s Guarulhos international airport when it crashed in the city of Vinhedo. WASHINGTON: The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has indicted two Iranians and a Pakistani national for allegedly providing material support to Tehran’s weapons programme. A superseding indictment, filed on Thursday, charged two Iranian brothers — Shahab Mir’kazei and Yunus Mir’kazei — along with Pakistani Muhammad Pahlawan for “conspiring to provide and providing material support to Iran’s weapons of mass destruction programme”. More than 100 Palestinians were killed and dozens wounded in an Israeli strike on a Gaza school sheltering displaced people, the Gaza government said on Saturday. The strikes hit when people sheltering at the school were performing dawn prayers, leading to many casualties, the media office said in a statement.
