RAWALPINDI: The City Traffic Police (CTP) have chalked out a comprehensive traffic plan for the night of August 13 and August 14, the Independence Day, deploying over 750 traffic police personnel to enhance traffic management and prevent one-wheeling. According to a CTP spokesman, more than 750 officers and officials will perform traffic duties in Rawalpindi and Murree as seven special squads have been formed on various highways of Rawalpindi to prevent one-wheeling and car skidding in the city. ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) will block SIM cards that have been registered against CNICs that have been cancelled, expired or belong to deceased persons. The PTA has begun obtaining data of those whose ID cards have been cancelled or expired, as well as people who are deceased.
