PARIS, FRANCE – Aurora Culpo, the older sister of actress and model Olivia Culpo, has announced her engagement to her boyfriend, Zac. The 36-year-old shared photos of the intimate proposal, which took place in Paris, on Tuesday.
The announcement was made with a carousel of photos captioned: “Said YES in the city of love!! 🥂✨.”
The first image captured the moment Zac was on one knee in a Parisian park, presenting a ring as Aurora smiled. The subsequent photos on the Barely Filtered podcast host’s feed showed the couple celebrating, hugging after the proposal, toasting with champagne on a boat, and sharing a kiss in front of the Eiffel Tower at sunset. The photos also offered a close-up look at her new diamond ring.
Family Celebration and New Chapter
The news was swiftly celebrated by the Culpo family, with Aurora’s sister, 33-year-old Olivia Culpo, reposting one of the images to her Instagram Story with the message, “Our family is growing!”
The engagement marks a significant milestone for Aurora, coming two years after she candidly discussed navigating life as a single woman following her divorce from Michael Bortone, with whom she shares two children, Remi, 7, and Solei, 5.
Speaking to People Magazine in October 2023, Aurora reflected on her journey. “I’ve gone through breakups, divorces, public stuff, not public stuff. There’s really nowhere to go but up,” she said.
At the time, she expressed excitement for the future, stating, “I’m excited to meet someone eventually. Right now, I’m kind of dating myself and seeing what’s going to happen.” She also credited therapy for helping her redefine her outlook on relationships: “There’s so many people in the world, and there’s so many options, you don’t need to choose another version of the same relationship every time.”
