- Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana has expressed his optimism that the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be hosted in Pakistan.
- The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had announced last week an indefinite postponement of the remaining eight matches of PSL 10 due to the deteriorating regional security situation.
- However, following the ceasefire understanding between Pakistan and India, sources have informed Geo News that the PCB is expected to make a significant decision regarding the remaining matches soon.
- Speaking on Geo News’ program “Geo Pakistan,” Rana stated that the franchises have unanimously requested that the tournament continue within the country.
- He noted that packed stadiums would project a positive image of Pakistan to the global community, emphasizing that the tournament’s full return to local grounds would represent a considerable achievement.
- “The final decision on this matter will be made by the PCB Chairman [Mohsin Naqvi],” Rana clarified, while expressing confidence in the leadership’s eventual decision.
- Commenting on his own team’s performance, Rana mentioned that Lahore Qalandars have one match left, and a victory in that match would secure their place in the playoffs.
