Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah faced heavy criticism and trolling across social media platforms following his “jets-down” celebration during the Asia Cup final against Pakistan.
Bumrah performed the aerial gesture immediately after dismissing Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf—the same player who had previously taunted Indian trolls with a controversial “6-0” gesture during the September clash.
The dismissal itself was a spectacular moment of fast bowling: a searing full delivery that swung late into the off stump. Rauf was late reacting with his bat and could only watch as the ball sliced past his blade, sending his off stump cartwheeling.
However, the celebratory gesture instantly generated strong reactions online. Many Pakistani fans denounced the celebration as “unsporting” and criticized it as a weak form of payback to Rauf’s earlier on-field banter.
India’s Strong Bowling Performance
Kuldeep Yadav’s masterful four-wicket haul proved instrumental in helping India bowl out Pakistan for a significantly below-par total in the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup final.
Suryakumar Yadav’s tactical decision to field first ultimately paid dividends, as his team’s bowling unit executed a potent comeback to successfully bundle out Pakistan for a total of just runs in overs.
