Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir celebrated Eid Al-Fitr with officers and soldiers stationed at the western border, marking the occasion with prayers and heartfelt messages for national stability and prosperity. During his visit to the Wana area of South Waziristan and Dera Ismail Khan, the COAS participated in Eid prayers. He expressed his sincere wishes for the nation’s well-being. Addressing the soldiers, the COAS conveyed his gratitude for their dedication, stating, “Your resolve not only safeguards the nation but also exemplifies genuine patriotism.” He commended the officers and soldiers for their unwavering commitment and exemplary service, emphasizing their crucial role in securing the country’s borders. Gen Munir lauded the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for their resilience in the face of terrorism. “The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have consistently demonstrated courage against the scourge of terrorism,” he said. Furthermore, Gen Munir praised the coordinated efforts of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies working alongside the public to ensure peace in the region. He affirmed that the military’s successes are a testament to the sacrifices of martyrs and those who gave their lives for the greater cause of peace and stability. Upon his arrival, the Peshawar Corps Commander warmly welcomed General Munir, who also expressed his appreciation for the tireless efforts of the formations stationed in the area.
