On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Apple announced a new addition to its iPhone 16 lineup by launching the budget-friendly yet powerful iPhone 16e.
The latest affordable iPhone features an A18 chip and the new Apple C1, a 48MP Fusion camera, and is built with Apple Intelligence. Some standout features that work without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage include Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messages, and Find My via satellite.
Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing, Kaiann Drance, stated, “iPhone 16e packs in the features our users love about the iPhone 16 lineup, including breakthrough battery life, fast performance powered by the latest-generation A18 chip, an innovative 2-in-1 camera system, and Apple Intelligence.”
He further expressed excitement about the iPhone 16e completing the lineup as a budget-friendly option, making the iPhone experience accessible to even more people.
Moreover, according to Apple, the new iPhone 16e will be available in two matte finishes, black and white. Pre-orders will begin on Friday, February 21, 2025, while shipping will commence a week later, on February 28, 2025.
