iPhone users are still facing alarm failures, with some alarms either going off hours late or failing to produce any sound.
Nearly a year after Apple acknowledged issues with iPhone alarms, users are still reporting problems with alarms not triggering on time or remaining silent.
A recent social media post shared a screenshot of an iPhone alarm set for 10:30 AM but triggering at 12:42 PM—the time displayed on an Apple Watch. The thread quickly filled with complaints from other users facing similar issues.
Alarms Going Off Hours Late:
One user reported that their morning alarm was silent for 40 minutes while still showing as active. Another mentioned that their alarm rang at 5 PM instead of 7 AM.
The issue seems to affect both iOS 17 and iOS 18 users, including those with Apple Intelligence features enabled.
Some have tried disabling Attention Awareness, which reduces alarm volume when the iPhone detects your face, but it has not resolved the issue for many users.
Despite increasing complaints, Apple has not issued a new statement addressing the issue. In the meantime, some users have resorted to backup alarms on Android devices or even gaming consoles like the Nintendo Alarmo, though not everyone enjoys being woken up by Zelda.
Until Apple provides a permanent fix, iPhone users may need to rely on alternative alarm solutions to ensure they wake up on time.
