Allison Williams, renowned for her role as Marnie Michaels in the series ‘Girls’, has recently shared why she would prevent her young co-star, Violet McGraw, from watching her former show. While promoting her upcoming movie, M3GAN 2.0, Williams candidly discussed with Entertainment Tonight the reasons behind this decision.
A Particular Scene and Williams’ Discomfort
Referring to her on-screen niece, McGraw, Williams began by stating, “Violet has not seen Girls, nor will she ever. You can see it when I pass on.โ Revealing the specific reason, she continued, “There’s one scene โ every time you and I talk about this show โ there’s one scene that pops into my mind’s eye, and I just can’t be in the same country. I have to be in outer space when you see it.” However, the 37-year-old actress did not specify which particular scene from the romantic-comedy series she was referring to.
About the ‘Girls’ Series
The Hollywood actress starred in the 2012 series alongside Lena Dunham, Jemima Kirke, Adam Driver, and Zosia Mamet. The series, which spanned six seasons, explored the lives of four women in their twenties as they navigated the complexities of friendship, relationships, casual encounters, and career challenges.
Wishing McGraw to Stay Young
Recalling her conversation with McGraw, Williams concluded by saying, “I know you’re 14, and you are so adult, but also, thank God you’re 14. Stay that way.” Allison Williams and Violet McGraw will be seen together in M3GAN 2.0, which is scheduled to be released in cinemas on June 27, 2025.
