Social media personality Alix Earle has dismissed rumors that she and her Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) partner Val Chmerkovskiy “hate each other,” while also opening up about her emotional challenges this week.
The 24-year-old influencer addressed the speculation while applying makeup in her car before DWTS rehearsals.
Emotional Struggles and LA Life
Earle began by revealing her emotional state: “Is something in the air right now because I cried myself to sleep last night and I woke up and was crying again today.”
While applying waterproof foundation, she mentioned that she isn’t missing her Miami home base, stating, “I feel like workwise I’m able to get a lot done here.” However, she confessed the difficulties of her current schedule: “But the problem is I’m not saying no to things. My mental health just had a bit of a crash out this week but I also think I’m feeling a lot of emotions about a lot of things.”
Relationship with Val Chmerkovskiy
Addressing the persistent rumors that she and her DWTS partner Val Chmerkovskiy “hate each other,” Alix clarified their dynamic: “It’s so funny because I feel like we are becoming besties.”
She attributed the perception to their similar sense of humor: “I feel like we both just have sarcastic personalities and I’m like, maybe we need to chill that out because it does I guess look like we hate each other.”
Alix and Val performed a Jive to Lou Bega’s Mambo No. 5 during the second week of the DWTS competition.
