Bollywood star Aamir Khan, known as ‘Mr. Perfectionist,’ has offered a candid insight into his personal life, expressing surprise at finding a new relationship later in life while stressing the strong, harmonious family bond he maintains with his ex-wives.
Speaking at a recent event, Khan, aged 60, admitted he had not expected to enter a romantic commitment again. He praised his current partner, Gauri Supprat, calling her an “amazing person” and attributing his recent sense of “peace, stability, and good fortune” to her. He noted that their romantic relationship developed over the last two years, evolving from a 25-year long acquaintance.
Khan emphasized the unique structure of his modern family, stating he maintains a strong and respectful relationship with both his ex-wives, Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao. He credited them with playing a major role in shaping his personality and acknowledged the lessons he continues to learn from them.
Underscoring his philosophy on separation, Khan stated: “We decided to separate as husband and wife but did not separate as a family.” He believes the continued, connected relationship with his former spouses is proof that mutual respect and an extended family structure can endure even after divorce.
