Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra praised New Zealand for dismantling hosts Pakistan in the opening match of the Champions Trophy at Karachi Stadium on Wednesday.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Chopra lauded the Black Caps’ performance, stating: “Always the team to beat in ICC events.”
He further added: “To be honest, they have the team to play the finals this Champions Trophy too.”
In another tweet, Chopra questioned: “How was the required run rate allowed to climb to nearly 10 an over with half the game left?”
