In a significant move set to deepen historical bonds, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan will arrive in Islamabad tomorrow for a two-day official visit to Pakistan.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi confirmed the visit, stating that the King is visiting from November 15th to 16th at the special invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
This high-level visit is being seen as a powerful symbol of the long-standing and brotherly relationship between Pakistan and Jordan. The spokesperson emphasized that this visit reflects the deep-rooted ties shared by the two nations for decades and is expected to significantly strengthen their strategic direction.
During his stay, King Abdullah II will hold important meetings with the President of Pakistan and the Prime Minister. These discussions are expected to cover all aspects of their bilateral relationship, aiming to build a more comprehensive partnership in political, economic, and cultural areas.
A highlight of the visit will be a special ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr (President’s House). In this ceremony, King Abdullah II will be honored with Pakistan’s highest civilian award, a gesture reflecting deep respect and friendship.
The spokesperson concluded that this visit will not only reinforce the enduring bond between Pakistan and Jordan but also expand the scope and areas of mutual cooperation for the future.
