The friendship between Blake Lively and Taylor Swift has been under strain since the singer became embroiled in the It Ends With Us legal dispute. The Blank Space artist’s involvement in the conflict deepened after a New York judge rejected Lively’s plea to keep her discussion with her long-standing friend private in Justin Baldoni’s case.
According to recent revelations from RadarOnline.com, the 37-year-old actress has reportedly come to terms with the conclusion of her decade-long friendship with the 35-year-old singer. “She’s done chasing someone who clearly doesn’t want to be caught,” a source revealed. “She’s heartbroken, but she knows it’s time to let go. Taylor’s not coming back.” Referring to Lively’s attempts to mend the relationship, the insider added, “After months of radio silence, Blake has stopped trying to reach out.”
Meanwhile, a source close to the 14-time Grammy winner informed the outlet, “There is no recovering from this. Their friendship is done.” The insider noted, “What Blake has done was exploit the Godmother of her children and manipulate the public into thinking that she was watching out for her best interests.” For those unaware, Swift is the Godmother to Lively’s three daughters—James, Inez, and Betty—whom she shares with Ryan Reynolds. The source concluded, “(Lively) has no one to blame but herself. Taylor is a girl’s girl, and she loves her friends. She will bend over backward for them, but when that trust is broken, there is no going back.”
