Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly to Hold Historic Session Outside Assembly Premises
For the first time in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s history, a provincial assembly session will be held outside the assembly premises. The session is scheduled to take place on April 22 at 3 pm at the Peshawar Cricket Stadium. According to the assembly secretary’s spokesperson, the sports department has been instructed to complete the necessary arrangements for the session. The spokesperson added that the police and administration are also being briefed to ensure the security arrangements.
The Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Assembly Secretary, and ministers have visited the cricket stadium to inspect the arrangements. Speaker Babar Salim Swati has stated that the session aims to promote transparency and public participation, with the added benefit of allowing citizens to witness the performance of their representatives firsthand. The Speaker also announced that similar public sessions will be held in various districts in the future.
