Karachi, Pakistan – In a scorching heat, the city of Karachi is bracing itself for a possible 24-hour heat wave, with temperatures expected to soar to a maximum of 34-36°C (93-97°F) during the day. According to officials from the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the city is experiencing a humidity level of 80%. Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to a minimum of 23.5°C (74.3°F).
Meanwhile, the rescue authorities have reported that at least 90 people have been injured in various incidents across the city, with many requiring medical attention. The Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 11 match between Karachi Kings and Hyderabad Kings is being played amidst the heat, with Karachi Kings setting a target of 189 runs for the opposing team.
