Karachi, Pakistan – In a scorching heat, the city of Karachi is bracing itself for a possible 24-hour heat wave, with temperatures expected to soar to a maximum of 34-36°C (93-97°F) during the day. According to officials from the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the city is experiencing a humidity level of 80%. Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to a minimum of 23.5°C (74.3°F).
Meanwhile, the rescue authorities have reported that at least 90 people have been injured in various incidents across the city, with many requiring medical attention.
