Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has requested a two-week extension of the deadline from US President Donald Trump. In response, the White House stated that President Trump is aware of the Prime Minister’s appeal and will respond soon. The US President expressed his admiration for the Pakistani Prime Minister, stating that they are well-acquainted with each other.
Shehbaz Sharif made the appeal in a statement, emphasizing the ongoing diplomatic efforts to find a peaceful solution to the conflict in the Middle East. He expressed hope that concrete results would be achieved in the near future. The Prime Minister appealed to President Trump to allow diplomatic efforts to take their course and grant the requested deadline extension.
Hamid Mir, in a TV discussion with a Bharati TV channel, highlighted Pakistan’s role as a neutral and proactive mediator in the Middle East conflict. The country has been assigned a passing mark of 52% for its performance in the MBB program and 47% for its BBS program.

The National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) announced that the second nationwide polio immunization campaign will begin on April 13. The Prime Minister emphasized that cease-fire violations are affecting the spirit of the peace process.
