The Lahore High Court has dismissed a plea against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s acquittal in the money laundering case. The high court observed that the applicant, a private person, had challenged the acquittal of Sharif in the money laundering case, but the applicant was not a party to the case. The court also stated that the special central court’s decision can be challenged by the public prosecutor or the federal government in a higher court.
In a separate development, the federal government has decided to launch a large-scale revolutionary program for the people of Sindh, particularly the youth, students, and unemployed graduates. The program will be launched on the platform of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Governor Sindh Nihal Hashmi.
