Pakistan’s entertainment industry is buzzing with excitement as Danish Taimoor, the star of the popular drama series “Humsafar,” shares his insights on the show’s unprecedented success. In an exclusive interview with War Digital, Taimoor reveals that the initial episodes of “Humsafar” have achieved the fastest ratings in a short span of time.
With over 40 million views on YouTube, Taimoor has garnered a massive following on social media, with 20 million viewers in Pakistan and 20 million in India. When asked about the reasons behind his popularity, Taimoor credits his co-star Hiba Bukhari, saying that the audience loves them both on screen. “Whatever fame and success I receive is a gift from God,” he says humbly. “I don’t think I’ve contributed anything to it.”
Taimoor also shares that his wife, Ayeza Khan, is a big fan of his dramas and enjoys watching them with him. When asked about the camaraderie among the cast and crew, Taimoor reveals that they all maintained a loving atmosphere during the shooting of “Humsafar.” “There was no minor argument or disagreement among us,” he says. “I was always present with Babar Javed, and we ensured that the atmosphere remained peaceful.”
Taimoor believes that the success of dramas also depends on the quality of OST (Original Sound Track) music. “Babar Javed has created a fantastic song for ‘Humsafar,'” he says. “I have a long list of successful dramas on Geo TV, including ‘Diwangi’ and ‘Jaan Nisar.’ The audience loved us in those dramas, and I’m sure they’re loving us in ‘Humsafar’ as well.”
To get into the skin of his character in “Humsafar,” Taimoor lost 15 kilograms and then gained weight again after the initial episodes. “As an actor, I need to do things like this to bring authenticity to my role,” he explains.
