Actor Shahn Shahid has expressed his immense joy over the success of his film ‘Bulha’, stating that his daughter Mirah will leave everyone stunned with her performance in her upcoming film ‘Sayaqo’. He also lamented the growing animosity in the film industry, saying that people no longer appreciate each other’s work. In an exclusive interview with Jung Digital, Shahid revealed that he had been approached by big names in the industry, but he chose to stay true to his Pakistani roots and continue working for his nation.
The veteran actor, who has appeared in over 500 films, expressed his gratitude towards the success of ‘Bulha’, which has gained momentum ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. He credited the film’s cast, including Naema Butt and Mona Lisa, for their outstanding performances. Shahid also revealed that he would soon be visiting Karachi, where he has always been warmly received, and would meet with the city’s cinema owners.
When asked about the television industry, Shahid praised its talent, saying that it was a great medium. He compared working in television to playing Test cricket, where one needs to be constantly focused, while working in films is like playing T20 cricket, where one needs to be adaptable and quick-thinking. He also praised the work of television artists, saying that they bring a unique style to their performances, but often struggle to adapt to the film industry.
The actor also spoke about his upcoming film ‘Sayaqo’, in which his daughter Mirah will be making her debut. He expressed his pride in her talent and said that she would leave everyone stunned with her performance. Shahid also revealed that his daughters were all interested in pursuing careers in the entertainment industry, just like him.
