Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has appointed Brigadier General Hussein Mohebi as the new spokesperson, replacing the late Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini. Naeini was martyred in a US-Israeli aerial attack last month, and his funeral procession will be held in Kashan.
According to reports, Supreme Leader’s representative for the IRGC, Abdul Hadi Sadeghi, issued the order for Mohebi’s appointment. Iranian media reported that Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini had been serving as the IRGC spokesperson since 2024.
Iran responded to US President Donald Trump’s threatening remarks, labeling them as an affront to the Iranian people. Trump stated that the US is considering seizing Iran’s oil, warning that “you’ll see planes blown up, you’ll see tanks blown up, you’ll see cities blown up.”

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf shared a picture of the damaged US aircraft. Trump claimed to have rescued the severely injured and brave F-15 pilot from Iran’s mountains. The UAE Ministry of Defense reported that the Emirati air defense system had destroyed nine ballistic missiles and one cruise missile in 24 hours.
Israeli security officials stated that the Israeli intelligence agency had assisted the US mission to retrieve the pilot from Iran. Israel’s drone factories and chemical factories were damaged in the attack, officials confirmed.
