Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has strongly condemned Israel’s attacks on pharmaceutical companies in Iran, calling them a “clear and shameless” act of aggression. The Iranian government claims that Israel and the US carried out airstrikes on major pharmaceutical companies in Iran today, which produce essential medicines for conditions such as anesthetics and cancer.
Araghchi stated that the intentions of war criminals have been exposed, and that Israel’s real target is not the Palestinian people but rather the powerful Iranian military. He emphasized that Iran’s armed forces will punish those responsible for the attacks.
Meanwhile, the head of the French Navy has expressed concerns that the number of Chinese ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz is not sufficient to restore normal traffic flow. The incident comes as tensions escalate between Iran and the US, with the latter’s support for Israel and other regional actors fueling the crisis.
Jordan has also been accused of helping Israel in its attack on Iranian missile and drone facilities last year. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has denied rumors about his health, stating that he is fit and healthy but avoiding public appearances due to security concerns.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has been accused of making false statements about Iran’s nuclear program, with Iranian officials calling his claims “baseless and unfounded.” The US has also imposed sanctions on several Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Khamenei.
In a separate development, a tanker was attacked off the coast of Qatar this morning, but the crew escaped unharmed. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the attack.
As the conflict between Iran and the US continues to escalate, world leaders are calling for diplomacy and de-escalation. The French Navy’s head has warned that the Strait of Hormuz is not yet safe for Chinese ships to pass through, and that the situation remains volatile.
