Sindh Province in Pakistan is set to resume in-person classes in schools, colleges, and universities, effective immediately. Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon made the announcement at a media briefing following a cabinet meeting. According to Memon, online classes will be discontinued, and educational institutions in the province will be closed on weekdays.
Memon also expressed his concerns about the MQM’s (Muttahida Qaumi Movement) attempts to undermine local government authorities. He criticized the party’s leadership, stating that they are “running away” from local body elections.
Sindh Chief Minister Suhail Anwar Siyal announced that a national and international crisis meeting had been convened. Provincial Minister for Interior, Zia Langaar, stated that Operation Nijat Muhraan had successfully restored peace in the province, with notorious dacoits surrendering in areas such as Ghotki, Kashmore, and Shakarparian.
