Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has stated that individuals who create obstacles during meetings do not consider the sentiments of the public. The meetings of PTI’s founding chairman were initially suspended, and now, the meetings of former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif are also being restricted. Khan stated that Sharif’s health issue has come to the forefront, and his family members are also being denied meetings. Speaking to the media at the Adiala Road Dhaba near Dhaglagh, Khan said that the meetings of PTI’s founding chairman have been suspended for the past four weeks. He emphasized that the party does not want to create chaos and anarchy in the country.
Barrister Gohar Khan further stated that the party is expecting a parliamentary committee meeting the next day, where a lengthy discussion will take place on all matters. He clarified that the PTI’s founding chairman has entrusted Maulana Iqbal Mahmood Achakzai and Allama Naseer Abbas with the authority, and the party wants to resolve political issues through a peaceful and democratic process. Khan criticized that some people do not want a peaceful solution to the problems.
He pointed out that despite the suspension of the sentences of the PTI’s founding chairman for 14 months, no decision has been made yet. The court has stated that the decisions will be made on the central appeals. Khan emphasized that the Pakistani people understand that the PTI’s founding chairman was imprisoned on political grounds, and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s stance is clear that Pakistan comes first. He stated that the children of the PTI’s founding chairman have never spoken against Pakistan and will not do so in the future. However, the statements made by the children of the founding chairman are being portrayed as controversial.
In a separate development, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan stated that there will be no agreement with the Global Support Group Plus (GSP+) of Pakistan. For now, there are no negotiations with any party. This is the decision of Maulana Iqbal Mahmood Achakzai. Khan praised the Saudi Arabia’s decision to not retaliate against Pakistan, calling it a wise decision.
