According to sources, cricketers will not be allowed to post on social media without the permission of the media department, and players will be directed to operate within the guidelines of the central contract rules. The PCB had earlier issued a show-cause notice to Nasim Shah, a fast bowler who responded to the disciplinary committee’s notice and appeared before them.
According to sources, managers of cricketers have also been briefed on the guidelines, and the PCB has clearly stated that political posts will not be tolerated. The sources claim that a fine of at least 100 million rupees can be imposed on players for posting contentious material.
