In a significant development, the Quetta Gladiators franchise of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has appointed former fast bowler Sohail Tanvir as their new bowling coach. Tanvir will replace Wahab Riaz, who was initially appointed to the role but had his NOC revoked by the PCB due to his association with the women’s setup. Following Riaz’s removal, the team also released director Sarfaraz Ahmed’s NOC.
The decision to appoint Tanvir was made by Quetta Gladiators’ manager Aamir Khan, who stated that the former pacer’s presence will provide a great opportunity for the team’s bowlers to learn. Tanvir had earlier announced his retirement on Twitter.
