Pakistan’s Finance Adviser Khurram Dastgir has announced that the country’s petroleum reserves have increased significantly, and with the latest supply, Pakistan’s oil reserves are now sufficient for the next four weeks. Speaking on Geo News’ program “Geo Pakistan,” he informed that ships carrying oil from the Strait of Hormuz are now passing through, and Iran has begun leaving Pakistani ships on a priority basis. Meanwhile, the Indian government has reported that two LNG tankers have passed through the Strait of Hormuz, destined for Pakistan.
Dastgir emphasized that Pakistan’s petroleum reserves are in abundance, and additional supplies are being added. He noted that the government has reduced non-essential expenditures, and the country has been provided with a massive subsidy of billions of rupees. “The government is setting an example of austerity, and we expect the public to support us,” he added.
