According to a statement released by the Senate Secretariat, this decision was taken in accordance with the instructions of the Chairman Senate, Yusuf Raza Gilani. The statement emphasized that Chairman Gilani has directed the implementation of frugal measures, focusing on reducing unnecessary expenditures and effectively utilizing available resources.
A committee meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Asad Durrani, was held to oversee the implementation of frugal measures. Chairman Gilani stated that maintaining financial discipline is essential in the current economic situation, and the government will continue to provide full support for national economic stability.
