According to sources, the federal government has reduced the development budget by 100 billion rupees. Minister of Planning, Ahsan Iqbal, confirmed the cut in the PSDP (Public Sector Development Programme) in an interview with Geo News. On March 6, a letter was sent to the Ministry of Planning, but no response was received: “In an interview with Geo News, Ahsan Iqbal said that 10 percent cuts have been made in the PSDP, and a 10 percent cut has been made in all development projects. It is worth noting that the PSDP for the current fiscal year was set at 1000 billion rupees. After the cut, the development budget for the current fiscal year stands at 900 billion rupees.
