Islamabad, Pakistan – In a significant development, the Pakistan Aviation Authority (PAF) has announced a 2-hour suspension of flight operations at Islamabad International Airport on March 20. As per the new notification, the airspace in certain areas will be restricted from 8:00 am to 10:00 am on March 17. This decision was made to accommodate the ongoing military operations in the region.
The suspension of commercial flights has been extended to 6 sectors of the Lahore Flight Information Region. Additionally, landing and taking off of flights will be temporarily halted at Islamabad International Airport for 2 hours. In related news, the Indian Airline has been banned from operating in Pakistani airspace for the next month. The decision was made after India provided drones to the Taliban in Afghanistan, which were used to attack Pakistani forces.
