Pakistan’s aviation authority has issued a new notification for flights operating from Islamabad and Lahore airports. According to the notification, six sectors of the Lahore Flight Information Region will be temporarily closed on March 16. The notification also states that commercial flights will not be allowed to land at Islamabad Airport on March 16, while flights will not be allowed to take off from 8:30 am to 10:30 am on the same day.
The notification adds that flights from Lahore and Karachi Flight Information Regions will be closed on January 14 and 15. During this time, flights in the air will have to wait to land at Islamabad Airport. The notification also instructs captains to carry extra fuel.
